Patton board discusses bond election in September meeting

In the regular meeting of the Patton Springs Independent School District board of trustees on September 25, 2023, Superintendent Bryan White reported that the Open House/Title I public meetings will be rescheduled.

White also reported on maintenance, enrollment, transportation, safety, the housing agreement, the church parsonage and security.

The Door Audit results were reported to the Board.

White also reported on the delay of the Accountability school ratings release.

Becky Hodges presented the Quarterly investment report and 22-23 unaudited financial reports. White presented the Insurance Endorsement for the buydown of the insurance deductible.

White then discussed election information and brochure information.

Ernest Ramirez made the motion and Lana Burson made the second to approve the 2023-2024 SHAC (School Health Advisory Council), Wellness, Threat Assessment, and Safety Committees as presented. The motion passed unanimously.

Clayt Bridge made the motion and Ernest Ramirez madethesecondtoapprove the Local Wellness Policy/ Plan. The motion passed unanimously.

Lana Burson made the motion and Ronda Dalton made the second to approve and affirm the practice of a district campus permitting a chaplain to provide support, services, and programs for students in accordance with the district’s existing GKG (LOCAL) policy. The motion passed unanimously.

Lana Burson made the motion and Clayt Bridge made the second to approve Meredith Propane as the propane provider for the 2023-2024 school year. The motion passed unanimously.

The board adjourned into executive session. No action was taken in executive session.

Board Members in attendance were Gary Bridge, Clayt Bridge, David Keith, Lana Burson, Ronda Dalton and Ernest Ramirez. Board Member Shane Roberts was absent. Also attending were Superintendent Bryan White and Business Manager Becky Hodges. Principal Sandra Ramirez was absent.
