PHILLIP PRESSON | SPECIAL TO THE TEXAS SPUR The Rangers traveled to VernonNorthsideFridaynightto open up their first official game of the 2022 football season.
Both teams would be looking to opening up the season with a bang. The Indians would come out firing early in the first, as they would score on two backto- back possessions, starting the game out at 14-0. The Rangers would then get an answer from senior Devon Reyna (#12) with a 30-yard touchdown reception from sophomore quarterback Michael Garza (#20).
Though The Rangers would fight vigorously, the Indians would cap the night off at the half, sending the Rangers home early with their first loss of the season.
The Rangers will be defending their home turf this Thursday night against the Wilson Mustangs.
