Patton Springs junior varsity and varsity teams competed Friday at the District track meet in Jayton.
In the JV Boys Division, the team of Jet Ramirez and Zeven Barron placed 3rd. Jet placed 6th in 100m, 4th in 200m, 4th in shot put and 5th in discus. Zeven placed 2nd in 100m, 3rd in 200m and 3rd in 400m.
In the Varsity division, the team of Devon Reyna, Ben McKinney-Vasquez, Mike Garza and Juan Salas placed 5th in both the 4x100 relay and the 4x400 relay.
In the Varsity girls division, Tory Childers placed 1st in the long jump and qualified for the Area meet. She also broke the school record.
Melania Ramirez qualified for the Area meet in three events. She placed 1st in the high jump and 4th in both 100m hurdles and the 300m hurdles.
Madison Summers, Anastasia Summers, Tory and Melania placed 5th in the 4x100 relay.
The Area meet will Thursday, April 20 in Petersburg.
