Patton Springs ISD approves security plans

In the regular monthly meeting of the Patton Springs Independent School District board on November 7, 2022, trustees approved plans to enhance security and cybersecurity.

Following a closed meeting, the board unanimously approved an employee for Guardian training. Ernest Ramirez made the motion and David Keith made the second to approve the DOI, flexibility, and the CTE for local certification. The motion passed.

The board also approved the Cyber Security Plan as presented.

In other action, Superintendent Bryan White reported and discussed current enrollment and attendance, awards and honors, school accountability, and transportation/ maintenance projects.

Following the August 31, 2022 financial audit report by Kristy Frye, CPA, of Bolinger, Segars, Gilbert & Moss, LLP, the board approved the audit.

Trustees also approved the 2023-2024 West Texas Food Service Cooperative Interlocal Agreement.

The board then approved the Superintendent Evaluation form for January 2023.

Next, trustees approved the District of Innovation amendment.

Board members in attendance were Clayt Bridge, David Keith, Gary Bridge and Ernest Ramirez. Superintendent Bryan White, Business Manager Becky Hodges, and Principal Sandra Ramirez were also present. Guests present were Kristy Frye of Bolinger, Segars, Gilbert & Moss, L.L.P.
