At the regular meeting of the Patton Springs Independent School District board of trustees on Monday, April 19 there was an open forum speaker and a guest, Christina Chandler, who spoke concerning facility maintenance needs, supplies and possible upgrades.
Superintendent Bryan White reported on enrollment and attendance, student awards, maintenance, vehicles and current Covid 19 protocol.
White also reported on the 2021–2022 school calendar, which was approved as presented with the addition of April 5, 2021 as a holiday.
White presented the TCEQ April 14, 2021 letter and discussed hiring an engineer for the projects needed.
White updated the board on In-Trust Properties 4534 and 4396. Both bids were accepted as presented. White said he would follow up with Dickens County judge Kevin Brendle concerning property 4534.
Following a closed meeting, Bridge made the motion and Ernest Ramirez seconded to approve the individual for the Guardian Program. The motion passed.
Attending the school board meeting were board members Gary Bridge, Clayt Bridge, David Keith and Ernest Ramirez. Also attending were superintendent Bryan White, principal Sandra Ramirez and business manager Becky Hodges.
