Patton Springs ISD unopposed candidates declared elected, sworn in at Dec. meeting

In the regular monthly meeting of the Patton Springs Independent School District board of trustees on December 13, unopposed candidates from the November election were declared elected.

Becky Hodges presented the certificate of unopposed candidates to board president Gary Bridge. Clayt Bridge and Gary Bridge were declared elected. The oath of office was administered to both candidates.

Ernest Ramirez made the motion and David Keith made the second to keep board officers the same: Gary Bridge, board president; Clayt Bridge, vicepresident; David Keith, secretary/treasurer. The motion passed.

Superintendent Bryan White reported on current enrollment and attendance, school awards and honors, school activities, maintenance and operations, school safety and school district transportation and vehicles.

Conflict-of-interest documents were signed by the board.

A special meeting was set for Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 1 p.m.

Superintendent White presented an update on the Red River Water Authority connection.

A motion was made by Clayt Bridge and seconded by Ernest Ramirez, authorizing the agreement between the Patton Springs Independent School District and Live Oak Public Finance, LLC for Financial Advisory Services and all matters related thereto. The motion passed.

Following a closed executive session, Ernest Ramirez made the motion and David Keith made the second to accept the resignation of Amanda Spiva effective December 15, 2022. The motion passed.

Board members in attendance were David Keith, Ernest Ramirez, Clayt Bridge and Gary Bridge. Superintendent Bryan White, Principal Sandra Ramirez and Business Manager Becky Hodges were also present.
