In the regular monthly meeting of the Patton Springs ISD board of trustees Feb. 13, Superintendent Bryan White presented and discussed enrollment and attendance, student awards and honors, maintenance, safety, security, housing and vehicles.
White presented the 2023–24 tentative calendar and will have it finalized for approval at the next board meeting. The 2022 Property Values were valid and certified by the State Comptroller. The board signed the 2023 diplomas. John Blackburn presented information concerning bond elections. Todd Gallagher presented election information.
The superintendent then updated the school board on the status of the 2022– 23 school calendar revising minutes for the missed school day, late starts and early out, due to weather. Clayt Bridge moved and Ernest Ramirez seconded approving the revisions.The motion passed.
David Keith made the motion and Clayt Bridge madethesecondtoapprove the resolution for the January and February weather day, late starts and early out. The motion passed.
Ernest Ramirez made the motion and David Keith madethesecondtoapprove the 2023–24 Allotment and TEKS Certification for instructional materials. The motion passed.
Bridge made the motion and Ernest Ramirez to approve the depository contract extension, 9/1/2023-8/31/2025. The motion passed.
Bridge moved that the board of trustees adopt the order calling for school building bond election, as presented. Keith seconded; the motion passed.
Following a closed session, trustees approved extending the employment agreement for James Stephens, Technology Director; Becky Hodges, Business Manager; and Sandra Ramirez, Principal/teacher, subject to assignment.
Attending were board members Gary Bridge, Clayt Bridge, David Keith and Ernest Ramirez. Also attending were Superintendent Bryan White and Business Manager Becky Hodges. Principal Sandra Ramirez was absent. Guests attending wereToddWilson, agent for Gallagher Construction; and John Blackburn, Live Oak Public Finance.
