It was a near perfect evening for Golf Scramble Tuesday, June 28, with temperatures in in the 80s! There was only a slight breeze blowing. Five teams were formed, and two places were paid out.
Rolling in hot to the clubhouse after the initial round were the teams of Riley Abbott, Freddy Gonzalez, Wes Joplin and Justin Posey and the team of Kevin Bass, Larry Bass, Tate Clark and Cammie Day Walker, with 3 under par and a score of 33. A playoff was to be had and the team of Abbott, Gonzalez, Joplin and Posey were victorious with a birdie putt by Freddy Gonzalez.
Congratulations to Eddie Clark for winning the closest-to-the-hole money on No. 8 with his drive planting 33 feet 5 inches from the hole.
No one landed a drive on No. 1 last week. That money pot will continue to grow until someone lands one again.
Get your team entered to join in on the fun for the 8th Annual Fat Daddy 3-Man Scramble, which will be held at the course on Saturday, July 30. The entry fee is $150 per team. Sign-in begins at 8 a.m., and tee-off is at 9:30 a.m. A meal will be provided. Cart rentals are limited, so bring one if you have got one!
