STAFF REPORTS
LUBBOCK—State Sen. Charles Perry and Rep. David Spiller will be hosting a joint Dickens County town hall meeting at the Dickens County Courthouse Annex, in the Multipurpose Room, from 3 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30.
Following the recent conclusion of the 87th legislature’s regular session, Perry and Spiller feel this is an opportunity for the citizens of Dickens County to get an inside look into the session. Most important, they will answer questions and listen to feedback from the people they represent.
“I am excited to be back in West Texas and holding town halls again,” said Perry. “This legislative session demanded that the legislature find big solutions to the problems facing Texans. We were able to take some big steps forward in helping Texans, especially in rural Texas. I look forward to meeting with the people of Dickens County to discuss the 87th Legislative session and the upcoming special session.”
Spiller described the 87th session as “one of the most conservative sessions in history” and added, “I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as your State Representative and look forward to being back in the district.”
The Dickens Courthouse Annex is located at 508 Crow Street, Dickens, Texas, 79229, just east of the courthouse square.
Charles Perry, a practicing CPA from Lubbock, was elected to the Texas Senate in 2014 and represents 51 counties in West Texas.
David Spiller, an attorney in Jacksboro, is serving his first term in the Texas House of Representatives.
