PSISD board extends administration contracts in monthly meeting

In the monthly meeting of the Patton Springs Independent School District board of trustees on February 21, superintendent Bryan White presented and discussed enrollment and attendance, student awards and honors, maintenance, safety, security, housing and vehicle updates.

White also explained the SECO lit retrofit grant and the upcoming Red River Water Authority connection/contract.

The superintendent also previewed the 2022–23 tentative calendar and planned to have it finalized for approval at the next board meeting.

The board was also informed that the district’s 2021 property values were valid and certified by the state comptroller.

After discussion, no changes were made to the Covid-19 Resolution adopted at the beginning of the 2021–22 school year.

White updated the school board on the status of the 2021–22 school calendar revising minutes for the missed school day, February 3, 2022, due to weather.

The board approved the 2022–23 Allotment and TEKS Certification for instructional materials.

Following a closed session, the board approved extending the employment agreement for James Stephens, technology director; Becky Hodges, business manager; and Sandra Ramirez, principal/teacher, subject to assignment.

Attending the meeting were board members Gary Bridge, Clayt Bridge, David Keith and Ernest Ramirez. Also attending were Superintendent White, business manager Becky Hodges and principal Sandra Ramirez.
