PSISD extends superintendent’s contract

COMPILED FROM MINUTES In the regular monthly meeting of the Patton Springs Independent School District board on January 16, Superintendent Bryan White reported on enrollment and attendance and student and employee awards and honors.

White presented “Forward, Together” certificates to each board member, honoring their service. He also reported on current maintenance projects, water system, ESSER II, ESSER III and School Safety future requirements. He also shared the School Report Card and the TAPR.

Becky Hodges presented the quarterly investment report for September 1, 2022 to November 30, 2022; information on the May 6, 2023 election; and an update on the electricity contract renewal.

Clayt Bridge made a motion that the board add, revise, or delete local policies as recommended by TASB Policy Service and according to the Instruction Sheet for TASB Localized Policy manual update 120: (LOCAL) BBB, CKC, FFI, FNG, FO. Ernest Ramirez seconded; the motion passed.

Ernest Ramirez made the motion, that the board of trustees approve the resolution of the board of trustees to approve the engagement of bond counsel as presented. David Keith seconded; the motion passed.

Following a closed session, Ernest Ramirez moved to extend the contract of Superintendent Bryan White. David Keith made the second; the motion passed. Clayt Bridge made the motion to hire Autumn Perryman on a probationary contract, subject to assignment, as of January 16, 2023. Ernest Ramirez made the second; the motion passed.

Attending were board members Gary Bridge, David Keith, Clayt Bridge and Ernest Ramirez. Superintendent Bryan White, Principal Sandra Ramirez and Business Manager Becky Hodges were also present.
