PSISD hears investment reports, approves calendars, contracts in March meeting

In the regular meeting of the Patton Springs Independent School District board of trustees on March 8 superintendent Bryan White presented and discussed enrollment and attendance, student and employee awards and honors, maintenance projects, safety, security and vehicles.

White also reported the status of the Red River water line connections, ESSR II, ESSR III, Supply Chain Nutrition Grant, ELC Reopening Grant and the SECO Light retrofit grant.

Board member Ernest Ramirez asked about the need for a new school bus due to continued maintenance and age of the current buses.

Becky Hodges provided the quarterly investment report and November 2022 general election school trustee positions.

Trustees approved the 2021–22 School Calendar updated for the February 23, 2022 weather day.

The board also approved the 2022–23 school calendar as presented by Superintendent White.

Trustees approved the budget amendment as presented based on the summary of finance template estimate for the 2021–22 school year.

The board approved the TASB Interlocal Participation Agreement Update as presented.

Following a closed session, the board approved, based upon recommendations by Superintendent White and principal Sandra Ramirez, the probationary contract renewals for Eric Johnson, Jr., Jamye Moore, Jordan Williamson and Cassie Valerio.

Trustees also approved, based upon recommendations by Superintendent White and Principal Ramirez, contract renewals for Cathy Davis, Sonya Dziedzic, Stephanie Stewart-Kidd, Amber Lemoine, Jason Lihou, Cathern Turner and Deborah White.

Attending the meeting were board members Gary Bridge, Clayt Bridge, David Keith and Ernest Ramirez. Also attending were superintendent Bryan White, business manager Becky Hodges and principal Sandra Ramirez.
