Rangers traveled to Lazbuddie Friday night to face off against the Lazbuddie Longhorns for what would be their fifth game of the season.
The Rangers fired the game off by drawing first blood. Sophomore Michael Garza (#20) connected with senior Devon Reyna (#12) for a 30-yard touchdown reception on the first possession.
The Longhorns, however, would show that they were there to defend their home turf scoring a 50-yard rushing touchdown off of the Rangers kickoff. This would be the story of the night, as the Rangers and the Longhorns would have an allout brawl, fighting tooth and nail all the way down to the final seconds of the fourth quarter. With a minute left, the Longhorns would march down the field and score a fourth-down touchdown reception to put them up by 3.
With the Rangers in desperate need of an answer, they would march all the way down to their 30-yard line, but would run out of time, leaving the final score 49-46, Longhorns.
The Rangers will face off against Christ the King on their home turf this Thursday night.
