Sarah Irick New Nurse Practitioner at MC Clinic

Sarah Irick of Lubbock will serve as the new nurse practitioner at the Motley County Clinic upon the retirement of Gail Ream, who has served the community in that capacity for many years.

A reception to honor Ream and introduce Irick to the citizens of Motley and surrounding counties will be at the clinic Tuesday, March 3, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Irick, who will see patients at the Motley County Clinic, 1224 Main St., at least two days each week, also works part time as a flight nurse for AeroCare and as a family nurse practitioner at Crosbyton Rural Health Clinic.

She has five years of experience in emergency and trauma nursing at a level one trauma facility, with two years of charge nurse and rapid response team experience, and one year as a part time hospitalist for an internal medicine team.

After graduating cum laude from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with a bachelor of science in nursing, Irick became a board-certified family nurse practitioner after earning a master of science in nursing from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. Her additional certifications include being a trauma certified registered nurse, a certified emergency nurse, and a certified pediatric emergency nurse.
