I am currently looking for facilities which could house up to ten people one to use for women, the second facility for men. These facilities would be used to help people who cannot go to treatment centers for addiction. This is a problem in every small town, large town and city in the United States.
In Spur we are seeing people come out of addiction and substance abuse; unfortunately, not everyone can up and leave for a year, to rebuild their inner being or personality. Some of the reasons might be medications, responsibilities, many reasons. We have some of these people needing help.
Here on a local level but we have nothing available right now. Many might be able to come out of addiction if facilities were available. My hope in writing this is to get the community involved in solving some of our social issues here locally. We cannot change the world, but we might be able to help many overcome these challenges through faith based lifelong changes.
In this community ten people over the last year have received help, some supernaturally by the power of God, and some through going to treatment centers. This is a small beginning, but [we could] double that number next year by having local facilities.
My hope is every denomination would have teachers of the gospel, teachers on prayer, all the things righteous people depend on to protect them spiritually, and to provide work programs for those individuals to make and earn legal money to fund them while receiving help—hopefully returning to society as a valuable member of our society.
