Spur schools competed last week at the UIL District Academic meet at Jayton Schools, and Spur advanced eight students to regional.
The Regional Meet will be April 22 at South Plains College in Levelland.
District honors for Spur were Kaitlyn Combs (1st, Spelling), Ezekiel Mosley (2nd, Spelling),
Kenzi Allen (3rd, Spelling) and Brendon Walker (6th, Spelling). The Spelling team advances to the next level.
Also advancing are Juan Molina (2nd, Current Events and Issues), Josiah Phillips (2nd, Informative Speaking), Allee Hamilton (2nd, Persuasive Speaking) and Kori Swaringen (3rd, Persuasive Speaking).
