Another tradition of Spur Homecoming has returned for 2021’s upcoming festivities: the Spur Art Guild show and contest.
Conducted at the Spur Art Guild Building in downtown on September 30, October 1 and October 2, the art competition and show will take place in the following categories: acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel, graphics, miniatures, photography and youth.
The Spur Art Guild reserves the right to change or combine categories if there are fewer than eight entries in a category.
Other rules from the Guild provide that:
• No artwork may be entered that has previously won a first place or best of show award at the Spur Art Guild art shows.
• All 2D entries must be ready for hanging with proper wire hangers – no sawtooth hangers please.
• No class work, kits, wet paint or works deemed in poor taste will be accepted.
• All entries are to remain on exhibit until the show closes.
• Although great care is taken with entries, the SAG cannot be responsible for any loss or damage.
