Since reopening in 2019, The Palace Theater has come a long way. Events have been hosted there, including movies, concerts and gatherings.
But the historic theater still has challenges to make it a modern facility.
Most notably, the Palace needs a new sound system.
In honor of the 70th Anniversary Homecoming of the town we all hold so dear, the Dickens County Historical Commission is reaching out to Spur Exes in a special fundraising plea for donations for a new sound system.
In the past the generosity of Spur Ex-Students has enabled The Palace to achieve its renovation and reopening goals. But now it’s time to make the Palace a gem of a facility in downtown Spur for generations to come.
The Palace will be open Saturday afternoon, beginning at 1 p.m.
We hope that all exes will stop by to visit the Palace and donate what you can to help us meet our sound system fundraising goals.
