GOLF SCRAMBLE RESULTS 09/27/22
The weather was on point and awesome for last week’s scramble. Seven teams were formed, and two places were paid out. A decision was made to switch it up a little bit on how teams were formed. Instead of drawing cards with an A, B, C & D player on each team to try to keep the teams from getting “stacked,” everyone initialed a ball and threw it in a bucket. The golf balls were drawn from the bucket randomly to form each team. It made the process pretty interesting. Coming in first place for the week was the team of Tyler Luke, Daniel Perez and James Hughes, who shot 7 under par for a score of 29. Coming back to the clubhouse tied with a score of 4 under par and a score of 32 were the teams of Gene Everheart, Mike and Janie Day and Wes Joplin and the team of Jimmy Ashley,FloydStarkeyandKathy Hughes. Playing it off on the scorecard, the team of Ashley, Starkey and Hughes took home the second place money for the week.
Congratulations go to Gene Everheart, who took home the No. 8 Hole winnings for the week with his drive landing 10 feet 5 inches from the cup.
No one landed on the No. 1 hole, so that money pot continues to grow until someone does. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP AND MEMBER MEETING The club championship will be held on Saturday, October 15. Teetimewillbe1p.m.,andthere will be no charge to play. There will be a meal provided following the round at approximately 6 p.m. There will also be a member meeting. Nominations and voting by written ballot will take place for the two board member spots that are coming open, by those present at the meeting. Nomination forms will not be mailed out this year. The term for the two new board members will be two years. I hope you will make plans to be there! Until next week – keep counting your blessings!
