I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and your New Year has gotten off to a great start!
The Spur Golf Association Board of Directors held its regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, January 11th. The Association now has a Venmo account set up. For your convenience you may send any payments to @ spurgolfcourse.
The Association is taking applications for memberships. Contact Betsy Arnold at 806-269-7373 or Charla Parsons at 806-632-9237 or send an email to spurgolfcourse@gmail.com to get your application. The initial membership fee is $50.00 for new members.
Due to rising costs, the Board has voted to raise the green fees to $15.00. All other fees will remain the same as follows.
$30.00 per month for a single membership $50.00 per month for a family membership $10.00 per month for cart shed rental We are ready for our first fundraiser of the year with the sale of Super Bowl squares. The Super Bowl is on February 12 this year. Squares are selling for $100.00 per square with $1,000.00 payout per quarter. (No overtime payout.) 100% of the proceeds, after the payouts, will go to Golf Course Association to help maintain and upgrade our grounds keeping equipment. The Association is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization if you need a tax deduction!
Contact Charla Parsons at 806-632-9237, contact any Board member or use Venmo to get your square(s) purchased. We will be having some tournaments at the course this year. Dates and formats are being lined out and details will be released at a later date.
There are lots of good things to come for our Association and the course this year. We are looking forward to tons of fun and more memories to be made.
The next regular Board meeting will be held at the clubhouse at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8. All members are invited to attend.
