Spur hires Forman as city secretary

On April 1 the Spur city council voted in a special election to extend employment as city secretary to Spur resident Lisa Forman, who was scheduled to begin work April 5.

The council also approved a plan for former city secretary Laura Adams (who held the position until last year, when Barbie Norman was employed) to help with transition and training. Forman is a former assistant professor at Southern Connecticut State University and assistant director of the Easton (CT) Public Library. According to the hiring committee, she brings to the job a range of skills in budgeting, research, law, and compliance.

She and her husband, Charles, moved to Spur in 2019.
