COMPILED FROM MINUTES
In the regular monthly meeting of the Spur Independent School District board of trustees on February 27, the board unanimously approved the certification of unopposed candidates for the May 6, 2023 school board election.
They also unanimously approved the order of cancellation for the school trustee election scheduled for Saturday, May 6, 2023.
In other board action, they unanimously approved TASB Policy Update 120 and approved a resolution authorizing a letter of waiver for payment in lieu of taxes for the Housing Authority of Spur.
Superintendent Craig Hamilton then discussed the following with the board:
•The School Safety Standards Formula Grant Application and Needs Assessment.
• The SLC Technology Consortium/ERATE.
• The Campus Alliance for Telehealth Resources (CATR)
• The board Summer Leadership Institute (SLI) Present were President Barry Ferguson and trustees Roy Sanchez, Pat Ortiz, Andrew Adams, Terri Wyatt, Matt Humphreys, and Casey Smith. Others present were Superintendent Craig Hamilton, Elementary Principal Jose Molina, Superintendent Secretary April Ortiz and Tanya Phillips.
