In the regular monthly meeting of the Spur Independent School District board on January 24, 2022, trustees voted to extend the contract of superintendent Craig Hamilton through June 30, 2025, after adjourning into executive session and conducting his evaluation.
In other board action, trustees voted to hold an election on May 7, 2022 for Place 3, Place 4 and Place 7 and approved Laurie Hinson as the election official for the Spur area and Mindy Little as the election official for the McAdoo area.
The board approved holding a joint election between Spur ISD and the City of Spur on May 7.
Members present were president Barry Ferguson and board members Roy Sanchez, Pat Ortiz, Rick Paschall, Terri Wyatt, Matt Humphreys and Casey Smith.
Others present were superintendent Craig Hamilton, high school principal Michael Norman, business manager Jodi Martinez, and students Zek Mosley, Savanah Olivarez, and Tristen Martin.
