Spur library thanks visitors, authors for Meet & Greet

We would like to thank everyone who came to our Homecoming Meet and Greet the Authors last Friday.

We got to visit with some old friends. We got to meet some new friends. If you didn’t get a chance to attend and get one of their books, you can always come to the library. We have them all here ready for you to check out.

We will be having Craft Night here on Monday, Oct. 11 from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. We will be doing some basic jewelry making. If you have some old jewelry to repurpose, please bring it. Even if you don’t, I have plenty of beads and supplies for everyone.

If anyone is interested in having hotspots available to check out from the library, please let me know. Having access to the internet is needed by everyone. Reliable internet service helps with work, school, and staying connected to friends and family members they can’t see right now.

Released just last month and on our shelves from James Patterson, the world's #1 bestselling author; Nancy Allen is “The Jailhouse Lawyer” in which a young lawyer takes on the judge who is destroying her hometown and ends up in jail herself.

From author Sara Ackerman we have an extraordinary story inspired by the real Women’s Air Raid Defense, where an unlikely recruit and her sisters-in-arms forge their place in WWII history in “Radar Girls.”

For the younger readers we have several new graphic novels including; “Jop and Blip Wanna Know” by Jim Benton, “Bad Sister” by Charise Mericle Harper, “The Fifth Quarter” by Mike Dawson and “Turtle in Paradise” by Jennifer L. Holm.

For those even younger we have new easy readers. We have “Summer Camp Critter Jitters” by Jory John, “Poultrygeist” by Eric Geron, and “Charlie and Mouse Lost and Found” by Laurel Snyder.

Check it all out at the library.
