Progress on Spur’s swimming pool and bathhouse renovations continued this week, with Argo Blockchain’s contractor conducting groundpenetrating radar testing on the soil beneath the existing pool.
According to Argo spokesperson Barbara Bogart and Spur mayor Louise Jones, the GPR scan showed a few minor voids in the swimming pool, which will be addressed this week by the vendor.
“The Argo folks are developing new options for the pool based on the input we have received to date,” said Bogart. “[Argo construction manager] Matt Nackino would like to present these options to the City Council on April 19.”
Meanwhile, resurfacing of concrete block walls, plumbing, and other improvements to the bathhouse are continuing, with a goal of having facilities reopened this summer.
