The Spur Golf Association Board held its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022.
The City of Spur contract has now been officially transferred over to the Spur Golf Association for a term of five years. With this transfer, there will be several new and exciting things happening for the course in the future!
The Association is now taking applications for memberships. There is a $50 initial membership fee for new members.
The current membership rates are as follows:
• $30 per month for a single membership
• $50 per month for a family membership • $10 per month for cart shed rental
• $10 per month for cart shed rental

The Super Bowl fundraiser was a great success! Thank you to everyone who purchased squares and to those who donated back part of their winnings to the Association. It is very much appreciated. Plans are in the works for a few future fundraisers, and details will be released once those plans are finalized.
Plans are also being made to hold tournaments at the course this year. The details, tournament format and dates of the proposed tournaments are being lined out and a schedule will be released in the very near future.
The Association is asking for volunteers to assist with weedeating; picking up trash, limbs and debris; emptying trash cans; cleaning bathrooms and clubhouse; etc. to keep the course and facilities in great shape. Contact Landon White at (806) 422-0090 or a board member if you are available to volunteer for any of these duties. The greens are scheduled to be aerated and sanded in March, and volunteers will be needed to assist with this task as well.
The next meeting of the board will take place at 6 p.m. on March 9, 2022 at the clubhouse.
