Fandangle June 18, 19, 25, 26 at Fort Griffin
ALBANY—An original contribution by the people of Albany to the field of historical-musical drama, the Fort Griffin Fandangle has been entertaining audiences from all over the United States since 1938. Last year’s Fandangle was cancelled due to Covid-19, but this year’s is back.
The show is different every year, with each production a fresh blend of new songs and old favorites from past Fandangles. Covered wagons and buggies, a replica of the first Texas Central railroad train, galloping prairie fires, a frontier town street, gushing oil derricks, and more than 300 performers recapture the look and feel of the Old West.
Tickets are $15, and a barbecue supper is available for purchase in downtown Albany before the show. For more ticket information, including details about box seats and VIP tables, call (325) 762-3838.
