OMTD announces 4th Annual Haunted House, Maze schedule, seeks actors
POST—Old Mill Trade Days has announced its schedule for the 4th Annual Haunted House/Maze and is seeking actors to bring the fall venue to life (or death), given the ghoulish fun planned.
Dates for the Halloween festivities are: all five Saturdays in October and Halloween which is Sunday, Oct. 31. The venue is open from 7 to 11 p.m. on Saturdays and 7 to 10 p.m. on Halloween.

‘Return to the Remuda’ set for October 1-2 in Guthrie
GUTHRIE—The 25th Annual Return to the Remuda horse exhibition and sale will be October 1-2 at The Four Sixes ranch in Guthrie.
The sale will include registered American Quarter Horses of various ages from four historic ranches: Four Sixes Ranch, Beggs Cattle Company, Pitchfork Cattle Company, and Tongue River Ranch. Three of the ranches are winners of the prestigious AQHA Best Remuda Award, which recognizes the outstanding foundation that ranch horses laid for the American Quarter Horse. This year’s guest consignors are King Ranch and Wagonhound Land & Livestock.
The event features some of the industry’s finest bloodlines with success in cutting, reining, reined cow horse, roping, barrel racing, and ranch horse competitions offering approximately 180 head of quality horses that range in age and includes weanlings, yearlings, 2-year-olds, ranch geldings, mares and stallion prospects. The demonstration of sale horses will be held on October 1 and the sale will be conducted on October 2.
There is no admission fee for any event, and all activities are open to the public.

Paducah Pickins’ slated for Oct. 2
PADUCAH—The Paducah Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Cottle-King Rodeo Association to welcome visitors to the Moffit Show Barn on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, for Paducah Pickins.
Proceeds will benefit the Paducah Pool Committee and the Paducah Cemetery Association.
Gate admission is $2.00 for food, fun, and shopping from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Coffee and stuffed potatoes and Mexican food are just some of the tasty items that will be on sale. Among the participating local vendors are: Nova’s Bakery, Mel Mel’s, Bears for Kids, Rambling Ranch Boutique, Paws & Claws and the Duo Studio.
In keeping with tradition, the chamber’s new Christmas ornament will be available to purchase. This year’s ornament features the First United Methodist Church. It is the second in a series designed to honor Paducah churches. In past years, ornaments have been inspired by the courthouse, school, and other buildings. The most popular to date was the Dixie Maidornament, which sold out, though it will be included as part of a collection that is set to be auctioned.
