Fundraiser set for Saturday night in Matador
MATADOR—Foothills Saturday Night, Matador’s annual music celebration, will be having a fundraiser Saturday, June 4 starting at 6:30 p.m.at the Hotel Matador.
The fundraiser will feature a Reverse Raffle, and tickets are $100. Each ticket admits two people to the Reverse Raffle. Only 250 tickets will be sold. Prizes to be given away include: 1st prize, a John Deere 4x4 Gator; 2nd prize, a Traeger pellet grill; 3rd prize, a camping-tailgate package, including a Solo stove; plus 10 other prizes equaling a $1,500 value. Ticket holders do not have to be present to win 1st through 3rd prizes.
Live music will be provided by Matt Austin, and a meal will be served at the event, which has a $15 gate ticket price, but raffle items and prizes are not available to those who have only purchased the $15 gate ticket. This is also a BYOB event.

WHITE RIVER LAKE—White River Youth Camp, established in September 1971 and celebrating its 50th year, kicks off seven weeks of youth camps this week.

West Texas Western Swing Festival in Snyder June 8-11
SNYDER—The 2022 West Texas Western Swing Festival will be held Wednesday through Saturday at The Coliseum in Snyder, 900 E Coliseum Dr, Snyder, TX 79549. The burgers-and-beans supper will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday and will be followed by an informal jam session.
The festival will begin each night at 6:30, Thursday through Saturday. Leading Western Swing performers such as Jake Hooker and the Outsiders, Billy Mata, and Jody Nix will appear at the festival. Tickets, available at the Snyder Chamber of Commerce, are $25 for a full-day pass or $60 for an all-week pass. Tickets can also be purchased online via the Chamber website, www.snyderchamber.org.

Borden Co. All-School Reunion slated for June 11
GAIL—The Borden County All-School Reunion will be held June 11 in Gail. All students, faculty and friends are invited to attend. No fee is charged for attending and visiting.
The Borden County Museum will be open from 1 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 10, followed by a fish fry and live music at The Coyote Store from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, June 11 classes are welcome to visit at the school from 9 a.m. to 12 noon followed by a meal at the Borden County Event Center at 12:30 p.m. A pre-paid reservation is required for the meal.
