SNYDER—Every fall and spring at the Ritz Community Theatre in Snyder, students in the second through eighth grade have the opportunity to participate in Tuesday Troupe. At the end of each semester, the Tuesday Troupe students put on a show. The fall semester show will be“Hello Shakespeare”and will be Nov. 10-12 at 7 p.m.

This fast-paced comedy is an entertaining way to introduce student actors and their audiences to the wonderful world of Shakespeare. A narrator and her irreverent helper comically provide a brief biography of the playwright, who appears in protest to ensure they get the details right. Drawing from Shakespeare’s long list of histories, comedies, and tragedies, a grand parade of the Bard’s most cherished and famous characters follows with just a few actors onstage at any one time. They humorously reenact brief moments from their plays and recite famous lines in iambic pentameter while the impish helper, now dressed as Puck, creates mischief.

With a hilarious grand finale performance of “Pyramus and Thisbe” from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, this simple-to-produce, whirlwind introduction to Shakespeare has something for everyone.

Ticket costs are $15 general admission, $10 for seniors and $7 for students and can be purchased online at https://buy.ticketstothecity. com/venue.php?org_id=299 —Ritz Community Theater Facebook page
