According to event leader Margot Hardin of the City of Crosbyton, plans are in place for the annual Truckin’ Along US Route 62/82 yard sales on Saturday, July 18, 2020.
The multi-city sale will take place along 50 miles of the fourlane highway from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. incorporating the communities of Idalou, Lorenzo, Ralls, Crosbyton and Dickens east of Lubbock, Texas.
“Watch for vintage markets, yard sales, farmers markets and stuff along the route and stop in communities to shop for bargains at the markets, yard sales and shops that you might never get to visit without this special event,” Hardin said. “Look for local restaurants, BBQ places, burger joints, food vendors, parks, historic sights, museums and friendly folks to visit.”
Maps are available at convenience stores in Idalou, Lorenzo, Ralls, Crosbyton and Dickens. The cost for those wishing to be listed on the maps is $10 for individuals and $25 for businesses. Those wanting more information, or to be included the map, should contact the nearest city office: City of Idalou, (806) 892-2531; City of Lorenzo, (806) 634-5596; City of Ralls, (806) 253-2558; City of Crosbyton, (806); City of Dickens, (806) 623-5224.
