KENT COUNTY ANGEL TREE The Kent County Child Welfare Board Angel Tree is up at the Kent County courthouse. To sponsor a Kent County Angel, stop by the courthouse between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to choose your Angel from the tree. Please remember to bring your unwrapped gifts to the Kent County Courthouse (Gina Coulter's Office) no later than December 17. Please include wrapping paper or gift bags to go with your gifts.

DICKENS COUNTY ANGEL TREE The Dickens County Child Welfare Board Angel Tree is available in the Spur Security Bank lobby for those who would like to provide a gift for a local needy child. Each ornament contains age and clothing size information. All donated gifts will need to be returned to Spur Security Bank by December 16. Please leave gifts unwrapped and put them in a plastic bag.

ST. MARY’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Spur will welcome the Bishop of Lubbock December 12 to St. Mary’s to celebrate Mass in their newly renovated church, 402 East 6th St.

SPUR ISD ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CONCERT featuring Pre-Kindergarteners through 12th grade music and band performances, will take place Thursday, Dec. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the school auditorium, Spur High School, 800 Calvert Ave., Spur. The event is free and open to the public.

SPUR DOWNTOWN CHRISTMAS PARADE is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 18 at 6 p.m., along Spur’s Burlington Avenue corridor. Prizes will be awarded. To register, call Michelle Bilbrey at (806) 269-1698.
