SPUR ISD SUMMER FEEDING PROGRAM Spur ISD is required to participate in the Texas Department of Agriculture Summer Feeding Program. The cafeteria will be open each week day through Thursday, June 30. Any child 18 years and younger will be able to eat lunch for free in the cafeteria. The meal will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The meal will be of the same quality as those served throughout the school year; however, only one entrée will be served each day. Again, any child 18 years old or younger may eat lunch for free.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL FBC Spur The First Baptist Church of Spur will be having Vacation Bible School July 5 through July 8 each evening from 5:30 to 8 p.m. for kindergarten through 5th grade.
FREE QUICKBOOKS TRAINING will be presented Thurs., July 7, at the Spur Dickens County Public Library by the Northwest Texas Business Center (Small Business Development Center) from Texas Tech. KCBD-TV NEWS CHANNEL 11 will bring its 2022 Community Coverage Tour to Spur Tuesday, July 26, at Jones Stadium in Swenson Park. Residents can stay tuned to The Texas Spur for information on how to help clean up, prepare, and participate.
JAYTON POOL, 700 Madison St., is open for the summer 2022 season, with hours from Tuesday through Saturday 1 to 6 p.m. and Sunday 2 to 6 p.m. The last day of swimming will be August 14. The Jayton Pool will be available for pool parties from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at a cost of $150. The facility will also be offering swimming lessons for ages 4 and up.
