TEXAS SALES TAX HOLIDAY is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 5-7. Apparel and school supplies that may be purchased tax-free are listed on the Comptroller’s website at TexasTaxHoliday.org.
JAYTON POOL, 700 Madison St., is open for the summer 2022 season, with hours from Tuesday through Saturday 1 to 6 p.m. and Sunday 2 to 6 p.m. The last day of swimming will be August 14. The Jayton Pool will be available for pool parties from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at a cost of $150. The facility will also be offering swimming lessons for ages 4 and up.
