VETERANS DAY OBSERVANCE BYSPURISDNOV.11 SpurElementaryfifthgraders will present the school’s annual Veterans Day Program on Friday, November 11, at 10:00 a.m. in the Dog Dome Auditorium. The public is invited. Spur ISD extends a special invitation to any veterans. After the program there will be a reception for veterans and their guests in the Dog Gym foyer.InvenergyandtheFCSclasswill furnish and serve the refreshments for the reception. The 5th graders will place the flags on the veterans’graves later in the day and pick them up on Monday.

DICKENS COUNTY SENIOR CITIZENS BAKE SALE will take place Monday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the North Dickens Senior Citizens Center, 511 Montgomery St., Dickens. For information, call (806) 623-5520.

SPUR’S LATE NIGHT SHOPPING/SANTA CLAUS ARRIVAL, presentedbytheSpur AreaChamberofCommerceandlocal merchants, will be held the evening of Thursday, Dec. 1, and will include the Masonic Lodge Pancake Supper, downtown lighting, vendor fair, and arrival of Santa at the Palace Theater. SPUR’S LIVING NATIVITY, presented by the Spur First United Methodist Church, will be held in front of the church the evening of Sunday, Dec. 4. The public is invited to watch this annual pageant from 6:30 to 7 p.m.
