JAYTON’S 15TH ANNUAL WOMEN’S PROGRAM is slated for Thursday, March 30, at the Kent County Community Center. Registration and shopping begin at 5:30 p.m.; dinner is served at 6 p.m.; guest speaker Stacey Bruington will present a program at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free with your favorite salad and/or dessert for all to enjoy.
Spur Methodist Church will be hosting a special Good Friday event for the public on Friday, April 7, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Journey to the Cross is an interactive event for the family that is designed for you to come and experience, at your own pace, 11 stations representing Biblical scenes from God’s creation to Jesus’s crucifixion and his resurrection. Come discover how you fit into God’s plan for redemption in this self-guided and self-paced tour. The church will be open anytime between 6 and 8 for you to come and take part. Please enter through the main entrance of the church where the tour begins in the sanctuary, then you will exit through the north side door facing the funeral home upon completion. The entire tour should take 30-45 minutes depending on how much time you spend at each station.
SPUR DOWNTOWN EASTER EGG HUNT
is scheduled for Saturday, April 9, in the two public parks on Burlington Avenue. The event is organized by the Spur Area Chamber of Commerce. Stay tuned for details.
