LUBBOCK—The South Plains Association of Governments Area Agency on Aging is excited to announce its 11th Annual Caregiver Conference, scheduled for Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The conference will take place at the Museum of Texas Tech, located at 3301 4th Street in Lubbock.
This free event is open to the public, with registration starting at 8:30 a.m. and lunch provided.
The conference features esteemed speakers, including author and gerontologist Dr. Tam Cummings discussing the importance of good nutrition in aging and dementia care, Jennifer Alvarez presenting a nutrition guide for older adults and caregivers, and Maricella Salinas showcasing the evidence-based initiative “Matter of Balance” to reduce fall risk in older adults.
