Dickens 4-H finishes community service by helping at Ronald McDonald House

Throughout this last year Dickens County 4-H members have participated in over 30 community service projects either with the club or on their own, and benefitted 26 different agencies and spent spent well over 500 hours. They finished up their 23-24 Community Service year with their annual trip to the Ronald McDonald House taking 35 POUNDS of soda can tabs to be donated. Diezel and Jet Ramirez, spearheadedadonationcampaignat Patton Springs School and collected over 15 pounds for the donation. It takes approximates 1,128 tabs to make a pound!

The members also cleaned nearly every inch of the building. They scrubbed the kitchen and dinning room, spread the mulch and cleaned up the playground, wiped down every door knob, light switch and rail, and organized the donation closet.

They took a little time off to be kids too. They went bowling at Main Event and the girls beat the boys... barely 334-305, took some time at a local playground and then enjoyed eating at Braums.

The world is in good hands for the future.. these kids are pretty awesome.
