Readers of The Texas Spur may have seen a job posting from the City of Jayton for a new city secretary, and noted that this is the position currently held by longtime city secretary Michele Fager.
Fager said last week that she was looking to spend more time with family at home, especially since her husband has a long work commute to Big Spring periodically. Fager plans to remain in her post until a new person is hired.
Interviews began last week, and were conducted by city council members in executive session during the regular council meeting.
