LIBRARY NOTES

Mark your calendars for March 15 fund-raiser at the Spur library

The Friends of the library book sale is still going on at the library. We still have some great books by some bestselling authors. We have thrillers by Patricia Cornwell and Sue Grafton. We have adventure by Clive Cussler and Tom Clancy. We have romance by Lavyrle Spencer and many other great authors. In nonfiction we have quite a few cookbooks and self-help books. We have biographies and do-it-yourself books. Hurry down while the selection is still good.

The Friends of the Library will be having a taco pile-on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 5 until 7:30 at the library. For a suggested donation of $10 you can leave the cooking to us and enjoy an evening of great food and great company.

Story time with Joanna is a great way for young parents to get together with the little ones for stories and fun crafts. Join Joanna every Thursday morning at 10 at the library for story time.

We have received some new books at the library this past week. From Francine Rivers we have a lighthearted Christian romance, “The Lady’s Mine,” set in the 1870s California gold rush.

From the Queen of Cowboy Romance, Carolyn Brown, we have “Texas Homecoming,” a heartwarming novel in which a doctor and veterinarian get a second chance at true love when a storm traps them together.

From bestselling author Riley Sager we have an instant New York Times bestseller, “The House Across the Lake.” Expect lots of twist and turns on this one.

We have “Things We Do in the Dark,” a brilliant new thriller from Jennifer Hillier, the award-winning author of the breakout novels “Little Secrets” and “Jar of Hearts.” Paris Peralta is suspected of killing her celebrity husband, and her long-hidden past now threatens to destroy her future.

Library, in Spur.
