We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in our Children’s Summer Reading Contest! Your enthusiasm and love for books made this summer extra special.

Reminder: The Adult Summer Reading Contest is still going strong! The deadline to participate is August 28th, so there’s still plenty of time to dive into some good reads. Here’s how it works:
• Must be 18 or older, live in Dickens County, and have a valid Dickens County–Spur Public Library card
• For every three books read or listened to, you’ll receive one entry into our prize drawing
• Submit your completed book logs to the library by August 27 at 5:00 p.m.
• Books may be borrowed from the library, checked out on the Libby app, owned, or borrowed all formats count: regular books, ebooks, and audiobooks A special thank you goes to Mrs. Dana Conrad for her generous donation of juvenile chapter books. This incredible gift is a wonderful addition to our shelves, and many titles are already coded for AR levels perfect for young readers. Some of the titles include:

• “The Field Day from the Black Lagoon” by Mike Thaler and Jared Lee
