LUBBOCK— First United Bank recently held a series of ribbon-cutting ceremonies to celebrate the grand reopening of seven newly acquired banking center locations across West Texas. The seven banking centers are located in Abernathy, Hale Center, Haskell, Idalou, Petersburg, Plainview, and Ralls, Texas, following the acquisition of seven former Vista Bank branches on February 28, 2025.
“After months of hard work, we are excited to hit the road with Branchin’ Out: A Tour of Our New West Texas Communities,” First United Bank CEO R. Mark Bain said. “This marks a significant milestone in the Bank’s 118-year history, as well as a celebration of our growth and commitment to serving the people and businesses of West Texas.”
In addition, representatives from all seven community school districts, as well as community leaders from various local civic organizations, attended each celebration to accept donations from the Bank immediately following the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
