MAY DAY CONTEST WINNERS On Saturday, May 30 members of the Spur community came together in a special event as a fundraiser for the Spur pool. There was friendly competition in a chili cookoff and a michelada/bloody Mary contest.
In the chili cookoff the winners were: Best Taste—Caprock Telephone Team Best Hospitality—The Book Club Best Presentation—Funny Farm Cookers Fan Favorite—DCP
For best michelada/bloody Mary mix: Best Taste—Fire Department Best Hospitality—Fire Department Best Presentation—Jimmy and Carolyn Ashley
