Organizers of the 102nd Annual Motley-Dickens Old Settlers Reunion andRodeohaveannounced the event’s musical acts for the event, Aug. 28–30 in Roaring Springs, Texas.
Rowdy Decker will be the featured entertainment immediately following the Saturday night rodeo at the event.
Decker is a growing force in country music in Texas. Raised in the small town of Brock, Texas, he started on his musical journey at a young age. He played the fiddle in the family bluegrass band and travelled to numerous festivals, developing his talents. In his teens, Rowdy began showing an interest in the guitar and songwriting.
He still works hard at improving his craft. “Nothing worth having comes easy,” he said adding that he remains diligent in his pursuit of his dreams of success. Decker put his band together in 2018, and they started performing in North Texas. Now, the Rowdy Decker Band has brought country music to stages across New Mexico, Wyoming, Oklahoma and Kansas.
Decker is known for high-energy country tunes, boots on the dance floor and a night of music, memories and nonstop fun. His mix of Texas country and rocking originals is guaranteed to keep the party going long after the last bull bucks.
