Once again we were blessed with perfect weather for scrambling! We had 21 scramblers show up to join in on the fun and five teams were formed. I feel this was a great participation number especially because it was homecoming week.
The team of Jason Tanner, Justin Posey, Floyd Starkey, John Lehmann, and Freddy Gonzalez and the team of Kathy Atkinson Hughes, James Hughes, Mike Day and Janie Day came in tied at 4 under par and a score of 32 after the round. After a drawing of the dominoes, it was determined that the Tanner team would claim the 1st place money and the Hughes Team would take home the 2nd-place money.
Returning to the clubhouse tied at 3 under par and a score of 33 was the team of Eddie Clark, Ashton Quilimaco, Donald Taylor Jr. and Austin Moreno and the team of Sue Starkey, Andrew Bateman, Kayla Bateman and Jimmy Ashley. Again, a drawing of the dominoes took place and the Clark team claimed the 3rd-place winnings for the week.
Landing his drive at 12 feet 2 inches from the cup on the No. 8 Hole last week was Eddie Clark. Congratulations, Eddie!
Again, no one landed a drive on the No. 1 Hole last week so it will continue rolling and growing until someone does.
