In the regular meeting of the Patton Springs Independent School District board of trustees on June 10, 2024, Interim Superintendent Bryan White reported on the 2023-24 ADA, summer activities, school safety, current maintenance projects and PK Partnership status.
Principal Sandra Ramirez reported on the 2023-24 ESL/Bilingual annual report.
Business Manager Becky Hodges presented the quarterly investment report and provided information on the November 5, 2024 General Election and postings.
In the action items, board member Ronda Dalton made the motion to approve the budget amendment as presented. Board member Lana Burson made the second. The motion passed.
Burson made the motion and board member Clayt Bridge made the second to approve funding $425 per employee for group health insurance coverage for the 2024-25 school year. The motion passed.
White recommended that the current early childhood literacy, early childhood math, college, career and military readiness goals be kept as they are. Bridge made the motion and board member Ernest Ramirez made the second to approve goals currently in place. The motion passed.
Following a closed meeting, Bridge made the motion to hire David Reyna, probationary contract, subject to assignment. Dalton made the second. The motion passed.
Ernest Ramirez made the motion to hire Tiffany Gilbreath, probationary contract, subject to assignment, Burson made the second. The motion passed.
Bridge made the motion to hire Michael Vaughn, IT Coordinator, with an employment agreement. Dalton made the second. The motion passed.
Bridge made the motion to approve the salary schedules, compensation plan, stipends, including principal salary. Burson made the second. The motion passed.
Bryan White, interim superintendent, will resign from the interim superintendent position effective in July, 2024.
The board will review superintendent applications.

The Patton Springs ISD board also held a special meeting on June 27, 2004 in which Interim Superintendent Bryan White presented STAAR results, PK MOU update and summer maintenance projects. Sandra Ramirez presented 2023-24 TPRI results.
In action items, Ernest Ramirez made the motion, that the board add, revise or delete (LOCAL) policies as offered by TASB Policy Service for consideration and according to the Instruction Sheet for TASB Localized Policy Manual Update 123, David Keith made the second. The motion passed.
Following a closed session, Ernest Ramirez made the motion to hire Angela Isbell as teacher, probationary contract, subject to assignment. Clayt Bridge made the second. The motion passed.
