Tuesday Scramble recap, June 17
We had 21 players turn out for the Tuesday Scramble on a breezy evening, and the competition didn’t disappoint!
First place went to the team of Jimmy and Jared Ashley and Russell and Dana Conrad, with an impressive score of 28 (8 under par), highlighted by two Eagles on holes #4 and #9!
Second place was claimed by Todd Bezner, Ethan Parsons, Curtis Bethany and Floyd Starkey with a strong 31 (5 under par).
Third place went to the team of Riley Abbott, Brandon McBroom, Austin Moreno, Wes Joplin and Jason Tanner with a solid 32 (4 under par). All fantastic rounds!
Closest to the pin on #8 was won by Todd Bezner with a shot just 14 feet from the hole.
Our next Tuesday Scramble is scheduled for June 24—come out and join us!
Course and board updates
Mike Day will be resuming greens keeping duties following the resignation of Gene Everheart. We extend a sincere thank you to Gene for his dedication and hard work over the past several months.
Additionally, Ron Young has stepped down from his position on the board. We appreciate all that Ron has done for the course and his service as a board member. This leaves an additional seat to be filled at the October member meeting.
We would also like to give a thank-you to the Spur High School FFA students and Mr. Been for welding and completing the metal pole frame for our new sign at the entrance of the golf course—we inadvertently left out our appreciation in previous news about our new sign. Again, thank you to the kids!

Mark your calendars! The Fat Daddy’s 3-Man Scramble is set for Saturday, July 26.
