According to a social media post Aug. 4, G-Ma’s Coffee & More at 201 Burlington Avenue in Spur will cease operations after Aug. 6.
“G-Ma’s would like to Thank everyone for the last 3 years,” read the Facebook post. “But I am sad to say G-Ma’s will be closing down after Wednesday. I have been blessed to of served so many incredible people, I have made so many friends. I will truly miss each and everyone of you. Love G-Ma’s.”
G-Ma’s, according to its website, was founded by Darla Spears in November 2022. “It has been a lifelong dream of Darla’s to own and operate a Coffee Shop,” reads the site at https://gmacoffee.com. Spears served cinnamon rolls, made-on-site breakfast burritos and more from the tiny former Mission service station at the foot of Burlington Avenue and 6th Street.
