Stonewall Memorial Hospital District, Spur Rural Health Clinic, Spur ISO and Dickens County Health & Safety Fair will host a Health Fair Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Spur High School Old Gym in Spur, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Organizers plan to offer screenings and community exhibits, and Education materials and have reached out to numerous agencies to solicit participation; exhibitors will be allowed to set up booths beginning at 9 a.m.
“Dickens County is a very rural area and has limited health and emergency response resources,” the hospital district’s information said, so knowledge of the type of services various organizations offier is beneficial to residents. Both adults and youth are encouraged to attend the Health and Safety Fair, and since the health fair will be located at the school, K-12 students will also be seen throughout the day.
The hospital district would like exhibitor forms completed and returned by Friday, Oct, 25. One table and two chairs will be furnished for each vendor, as well as breakfast and lunch for the day.
