TEA Academic Performance Reports released for schools statewide

JAYTON, PATTON SPRINGS, SPUR DATA RELEASED

Each spring the Texas Education Agency (TEA), the state’s governing education agencyprovidesitsown report card to local school districts.

TEA publishes the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), an extensive compilation of data that breaks down schools and their districts on student performance and district programs. The full TAPR for each school runs more than 30 pages, breaking down studentperformancemetrics bygradeaswellasproviding other data related to administration and staff.

A TAPR is provided for each school in every school district statewide. (In most cases in our rural communities, there is only one school per district.) The TAPR Glossary providesdefinitions,describes methodologies, and lists sources for each tab in the TAPR system. The TAPR Guidelines help districts fulfill their legal responsibilities regarding the annual report of their educational performance and the TAPR.
